Hi friends, MY REFUGEE JOURNEY has just completed two filming blocks and we are all excited that the edit has started.
Over the last months we have been fortunate to have award-winning director Kasimir Burgess (FRANKLIN, IRON WINTER) join our project to work alongside Barat Ali Batoor. Kas has totally re-imagined the story approach and our partners VicScreen and Melbourne International Film Festival Premiere Fund could not be more thrilled to have Kasimir on our team.

Across one sleepless night. Hazara photojournalist Barat Ali Batoor confronts the ghosts, trauma and unanswered questions contained in the hard drive that documents his perilous journey seeking asylum.
Joining Kasimir on our new creative team is cinematographer Benjamin Bryan and composer Luke Altmann.
Our editor Steven (Spider) Robinson and assistant editors Shaun Smith and Saxon Wright are now hard at work crafting the footage into what we know will be a wonderful feature documentary.
