Penguin Island has won Best Director for the category Documentary (Nature and Environment) at the 2011 International “Gold Panda” Awards. Programs are awarded as part of the Sichuan TV festival in China. A big congratulations to everybody invovled!
’Penguin Island’ is screening on Nat Geo WILD (United States) as a featured part of Penguin Palooza happening this weekend November the 12th – 13th. So dress up in your best penguin suit and settle down with a nice cold icicle to participate in a weekend of penguins, penguins and more penguins!

Penguin Island has been selected to screen at the International Ornithological Film Festival in beautiful Menigoute, France. Every year at the beginning of November, Ménigoute brings together wildlife cinema lovers, wildlife artists and a very large public around Nature celebration.
Kangaroo Mob has recieved a Certificate of Commendation which recognises its research into human impact on Kangaroo behaviour. Congratulations to everybody involved!
The Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales is a non-profit, scientific organisation dedicated to the study and conservation of native Australian fauna.
There are as many possums as there are people in Melbourne. With its tasty European trees and lavish rooftop hiding spots, the inner city is a haven for urban possums forced out of their native habitats. But with populations quickly climbing, possum real estate is at a premium and its no wonder the mischievous marsupials and their human neighbours are on the verge of war.
Director Steve Westh has been scouring Melbourne looking for the best characters – people and possums and we hope the project wlll go into production in 2012. The project is being developed with the assistance of Screen Australia.
