360 Degree Film’s latest documentary Possum Wars is set to screen Sunday night on SVT Sweden. Developed with the assistance of Film Victoria and Screen Australia, and directed by Bruce Permezel, Possum Wars offers an intimate and irresistible glimpse into the private world of Australia’s most unwanted marsupial and its battle to survive in the big city.
The Devils released on Maria Island are successfully breeding, with 15 babies found in pouches so far.
It’s a crucial milestone in the fight to save their species from extinction, and is the first time devils raised in captivity have given birth in the wild, free from the deadly facial tumour disease that has ravaged the wild population on mainland Tasmania.
Sally has just returned from filming for Acid Ocean in the USA. She was in Santa Barbara meeting scientist Dr Gretchen Hofman who has discovered that red sea urchins are adapting to the more corrosive ocean waters of the Californian coast.
She was also filming in Willapa and Netarts Bay Oregon where the oyster industry has been experiencing mass larvae death due to low pH waters.

360 Degree Films is one of 7 lucky companies to be selected by Screen Australia for an Enterprise Asia Grant. Producer Sally Ingleton will attend Sunnyside of the Asian Doc in Kuala Lumpur as part of the 40 strong Australian delegation. The aim is to build business relationships with Asian broadcasters and production companies.

Sally is representing 360 Degree Films at the Australian International Documentary Conference this week. It’s Australia’s only documentary conference, attracting key figures from the Australian and international documentary industry. We can’t wait to hear from Sally what the highlights were, there’s sure to be lots!
Possum Wars, directed by Bruce Permezel and edited by Steven Robinson is nearly at picture lock.
The film features many of our fellow Melbournians and of course the urban possum population. It will soon be in the hands of the amazing sound team of Tristan Meredith from Now Hear This and Composer Dale Cornelius.
