360 Degree Films is one of 7 lucky companies to be selected by Screen Australia for an Enterprise Asia Grant. Producer Sally Ingleton will attend Sunnyside of the Asian Doc in Kuala Lumpur as part of the 40 strong Australian delegation. The aim is to build business relationships with Asian broadcasters and production companies.

It’s Australia’s only documentary conference, attracting key figures from the Australian and international documentary industry. We can’t wait to hear from Sally what the highlights were, there’s sure to be lots!

360 Degree Films has very exciting news, Queen of the Desert was awarded best short documentary at The Bloody Hero International film festival in Arizona.

The Bloody Hero International Film Festival bills itself as a festival that appreciates ‘unique’ and ‘highly entertaining films,’ that have taken great care in ‘thorough character development;’ and we are extremely happy that Queen of the Desert has been selected for possessing these qualities. Well done once again to all of those involved in the production of the film.

Possum Wars, directed by Bruce Permezel and edited by Steven Robinson is nearly at picture lock.

The film features many of our fellow Melbournians and of course the urban possum population. It will soon be in the hands of the amazing sound team of Tristan Meredith from Now Hear This and Composer Dale Cornelius.

Delivery is in April for ABC, Arte France and SVT Sweden. Thanks to Screen Australia and Film Victoria for production investment.

A Day In The Life of Simon Stone is a half hour arts documentary for ABC about the work of maverick theatre director Simon Stone.

Simon Stone’s Death of a Salesman was the standout hit of The Belvoir Theatre’s 2012 Season, and he follows on from that success with Tennessee William’s Cat On a Hot Tin Roof.

Director Simon Target has been shadowing Stone for the past few months and begins the edit shortly with John Pleffer.

15.2.2013Introducing the Devil Island team

Filming of Devil Island is well underway and so far is looking great, thanks to our skillful editing team and Series Director Andrew Sully.

We thought we’d introduce them, from left to right are Simon Wright, Tony Stevens, Andrew Sully, Rob Buttery and Nick Scott.

Filming will continue in tandem with the edit for the next 3 months.

The Devils are sure to look their best with these guys in the cutting room!

Devil Island is for ABC, ITV and France TV and has production investment from Screen Australia, Film Victoria and Screen Tasmania.
