WILD THINGS  is pleased to be able to welcome Screen Tasmania to our wonderful group of state screen agency supporters. The film is of national interest and has support from Screen Territory, Film Victoria, Screen Tasmania and of course Screen Australia. In addition we have some wonderful private donors on board including the Garry White Foundation, the Sunrise Project, Seeds For Change, Newtown Films, Mullum Trust, Reichstein Foundation and more.

We are pleased to welcome Potential Films as the films theatrical distributor.

If you believe in the importance of environmental activism then any donation is welcome via the Documentary Australia Foundation. All donors will appear in the end credits of the film.

 

23.7.2019Major Filming Completed for Jimmy Shu’s Taste of the Territory

We have completed the first main block of filming for the SBS Food Series Delicious Darwin supported by Screen Territory.

Filming covered stories at some of Darwin’s iconic food sites such as Mary’s Laksa and the Banh Mi stalls at Parap market and stories about bush foods at Aboriginal Bush Traders and out in Maningrida. Many Thanks to Nitmiluk Gorge’s Cicada Lodge for hosting our crew for a story about the amazing food they produce.

23.7.2019NIGHT PATROL HAS A NEW NAME! TAYAMANGAJIRRI

Following discussion with the community at Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island we have changed the title to TAYAMANGAJIRRI which is Tiwi for “we look after each other”.

The film is now picture locked and with sound mixer extraordinaire Matthew Cunliffe.

TAYAMANGAJIRRI was directed by Charmaine Ingram and produced by Sally Ingleton. Our editor was Sam Frederick. Music is by Tiwi cult band B2M.

We look forward to releasing the finished product.

03.6.2019WILD THINGS Secures Screen Australia Producer Funding

Sally Ingleton is the Producer and Director on the feature documentary WILD THINGS, which is in the final stages of financing.

It’s been a long haul of writing many funding applications over the past 12 months.

So far funding has been committed by Screen Territory and Screen Australia and Screen Tasmania is pending.

Thanks to our magnificent donors who have helped keep the production on the road as we have been filming many key events in the environment movement over the past few months including the School Strike Movement, the Stop Adani Convoy and the many protests that have been underway by community groups such as Grey Power and Extinction Rebellion.

03.6.2019NITV Approves NIGHT PATROL Rough Cut!

NIGHT PATROL is a half hour documentary that follows the work of community leaders on the Tiwi Islands who are helping keep the kids in school by running a safety program during the day and night. The program is directed by Charmaine Ingram.

We hope to finish the documentary in early July 2019.

NIGHT PATROL is produced with the assistance of NITV, Screen Territory and Screen Australia.
